Does my rental car come with insurance?
You may purchase Collision Damage Insurance Coverage when placing a
retail reservation on our website. The option to purchase Collision
Damage Insurance coverage will be presented to you on your confirmation
page during the request process.
Please also note that you may already have rental car insurance coverage
- here's how to find out:
1. Review your current automobile insurance policy to see if your
existing coverage extends to rental car usage.
2. Your homeowner or renter's policy may cover personal property stored
in a rental car. Check with your insurance provider for details.
Remember, it is your responsibility to determine what insurance coverage
you have.
Can I change or cancel my car rental reservation?
Yes. Simply visit the appropriate section of our website and
select the "Change this Reservation" or "Cancel this Reservation" on the
page. You will need your itinerary or reservation number and the e-mail
address you entered when you reserved your car.
When will I be charged?
You will be charged directly from the rental car agency once
you pickup your rental car.
When you pick-up your car, you will be asked to show a major credit card
in the driver's name for credit identification. Debit, check,
or cash cards are typically not accepted at pick-up for credit
identification. Contact your rental car company for more details on what
forms of payment are accepted.
What is included in the rental car price?
In connection with facilitating your rental car transaction, in most
instances, we will provide you with a breakdown of the estimated taxes,
fees and surcharges that may apply to your transaction.
Elite Travel Consulting will not charge you for taxes, fees, and
surcharges, but the car rental supplier will charge you taxes, fees, and
surcharges at the time you rent your car. If the estimated taxes, fees,
and surcharges are not available to us, then just the estimated base
rate will be displayed (exclusive of any taxes, fees, and surcharges.)
Please note that you are not charged for the rental car until you
pick-up your rental car.
Do you have to be a certain age to rent a car?
Most agencies require that you be a minimum of 25 years of age to rent a
car. Some rental companies will allow persons 21 and over to rent a car.
There may, however, be an additional fee.
Alamo, Dollar, Enterprise, and Thrifty are some agencies that will allow
persons 21 and over to rent at some of their locations. Other agencies
may require that you are in the government, military, or have a special
corporate account to rent a car being under the age of 25. Some rental
companies even allow drivers 18 years or older. Most require a young
driver surcharge in these cases. Check with the rental car company
first!
Can I rent a car with a debit card instead of a credit card?
You can use a debit or check card to make your reservation. However, if
you wish to use a debit card at the time of pick-up, please note that
debit, check, or cash cards are typically not accepted at pick-up for
credit identification. Contact your rental car company for more details
on what forms of payment are accepted.
